RN Clinical Informatics Specialist

The RN Clinical Analyst is responsible for implementing informatics solutions and technologies to support patient care, clinical decision making, outcomes management, and research. This role involves designing workflows for clinical information systems, analyzing clinical data, testing clinical information systems, and providing training and support for electronic health record and information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement clinical information systems solutions to support patient care and clinical decision making.
- Analyze clinical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Test and evaluate clinical information systems to ensure they meet departmental requirements.
- Provide training and support for electronic health record and information systems.
- Collaborate with department personnel to identify and implement system improvements.
- Develop and execute system testing plans to ensure expected results.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for each phase of a project.
- Respond to reported system problems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Communicate progress and major problems encountered to the Director of Clinical Informatics.
- Stay current with developments in healthcare and assist other staff members on clinical issues.
- Provide technical leadership and training for less experienced staff.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of inpatient or ambulatory nursing experience required.
- 2 or more years of clinical informatics experience preferred.
- Valid Indiana Registered Nurse License required.
- Epic Clinical Informatics certification within 90 days of hire required.
Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30am-4:00pm. Hours can vary.
