Ideal Candidate Profile:
Goldman Sachs is on the lookout for a Generative AI Engineer who will be a key player in our Natural Language Processing Solutions team. This role is crucial for advancing the integration of innovative Generative AI technologies within our operations, working closely with various business units.
As a vital member of our team, you will engage in diverse AI/ML domains, including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, time series analysis, and recommendation systems. Your expertise as an AI Researcher will be instrumental in addressing the unique challenges presented by machine learning systems in the financial sector. Together, we will redefine the possibilities at the intersection of quantitative research and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with peers to enhance production-level machine learning systems and applications.
- Design, experiment with, and evaluate AI/ML-driven software systems.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, production-ready code.
- Exhibit technical leadership by spearheading cross-functional projects.
- Create libraries and frameworks that support reliable and testable systems, representing Goldman Sachs at conferences and within open-source communities.
- A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of industry experience demonstrating your expertise.
- Extensive background in software development for quantitative investment workflows across various asset classes.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
