Job SummaryGeographic Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to oversee Financial Reporting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Financial Planning, and Financial Controls. The ideal candidate will ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and will report directly to the CFO, overseeing a team of 4 including an Accounting Manager.

Viable candidates must be willing to work onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida daily.

The Senior Financial Manager will be responsible for:

  • Planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the finance team's organization, fiscal function, and performance.
  • Implementing internal financial controls across the organization to ensure that transactions are recorded timely and accurately and to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Training and assessing the department and conducting training for the team.
  • Designing and developing policies and procedures within the finance team and across the organization.
  • Ensuring monthly Financial Statement close on a timely basis in accordance with GAAP.
  • Implementing ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards under FASB for all contracts.
  • Overseeing the accrual method of all general ledger accounts.
  • Ensuring bank accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Preparing and reviewing Account Analyses, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, deferred costs, intangibles, fixed assets, etc.
  • Overseeing the annual financial statement audit.
  • Overseeing the Accounting Manager.
  • Managing the bi-weekly and monthly payroll process for multiple companies.
  • Benefit deductions for new hires and open enrollment periods.
  • Administration of the company's 401K plan.
  • Managing the Accounts Payable Team.
  • Reviewing and processing payroll liabilities.
  • Acting as Liaison between Geographic Solutions and Payroll processing company.
  • Assisting in shared services as needed within the Finance Team.
  • Overseeing Financial Planning and Analysis to develop forecasts, projections, and budgets.
  • Performing variance analysis on key accounts.
  • Helping drive and assist financial reporting on KPIs with Sr. Data Analyst.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Established priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Knowledge of the following computer software packages: QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Instant Messenger, and Paylocity.
  • Ability to interface within all levels of the company.
  • Financial Management (Forecasting & Budgeting) and Business Acumen.
  • Communication Proficiency.
  • Ethical Conduct including confidentiality of employment information, business transactions, and financial matters of the company.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • CPA is desired, but not required.
  • Experience working in a technology company with ASC 606 is desired, but not required.
  • 7-10 years of related experience preferably as a controller, director, or manager in a finance function.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Must be a leader and a driver who can keep up with a fast-growing company.
