Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of equipment and drivers to meet the transportation needs of our organization.
  • Monitor the status of service and delivery vehicles to prioritize schedules effectively and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Provide critical information to drivers regarding orders, traffic, and other requirements to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage paperwork for truck drivers, including DVIRs, tickets, and roadside inspections, in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Input data into our system and maintain accurate logs and records of activities.
  • Obtain necessary permits and approvals for trucking operations in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve driver time sheets for submission to the Logistics Manager on a daily basis.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive employee matters and shared information with leadership.
  • Act with integrity and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Prioritize truck utilization according to daily needs and company goals to optimize efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand English proficiently.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of dispatch experience necessary.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Demonstrates core values of passion, integrity, hard work, and professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective prioritization and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and ability to apply them in a practical setting.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PDF Editor.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours based on business needs and unforeseen circumstances.
