Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist
The Respiratory Therapist will act under the direction of the Director/Manager, utilizing Respiratory therapy processes based on American Association of Respiratory Care Guidelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating patient care with the healthcare team
- Making respiratory assessments and implementing, delivering, and evaluating patient respiratory therapy needs
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma/GED with some college, business, technical training, or an Associate's of Science Degree (Registered Respiratory Therapist/RRT Licensure/Certification/Registration)
- Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
Additional Requirements
You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. As applicable, RCP staff assigned to maternal-child services will be required to have NRP and PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
