Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts EEG studies in compliance with established protocols and ensures patient safety throughout the process.
  • Applies electrodes following the International 1020 System, ensuring accurate and effective monitoring.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in EEG performance and recognizes clinically significant events, adhering to company policies regarding critical results.
  • Maintains open communication with patients, providing clear explanations of procedures and addressing any inquiries.
  • Continuously enhances knowledge of EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, and infection control practices.
  • Performs thorough patient assessments related to care, including evaluating cognitive function and identifying any movement restrictions.
  • Identifies and resolves basic technical issues and artifacts during EEG procedures.
  • Understands the principles of digital equipment and electrical safety within the mobile EEG unit.
  • Collaborates with supervisory staff for any operational challenges or supply requirements.
  • Completes additional duties related to patient and technical care as necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other applicable standards.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent kneeling and crawling may be required.
Work Environment
