Air and Missile Defense Product Owner

About the Role:
The Air and Missile Defense Product Owner will be a key member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for prioritizing and validating the development software for a Force Operations (FO) Software (SW) development team.
- Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and provide guidance to the development team.
- Support the team in developing acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
- Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint.
- Provide technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership.
- Report on status, recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Requirements:
- Must have a good understanding of defense design and the following capabilities in a large system: resource laydown, plans and orders from higher echelon units (HEUs), radar initialization parameters, defense plan evaluation, and user interfaces.
- Must have the ability to provide oversight to an FO SW development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
- Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
- Be a US citizen.
- Have a bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, science, or mathematics.
- Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
