POSITION SUMMARY
The Job Recruiter plays a crucial role in assisting young individuals aged 14-24 in achieving their personalized career aspirations. This position involves proactive job development, outreach within the community, and fostering partnerships that lead to sustainable employment opportunities for the youth served.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with diverse individuals, including youth, participants, employers, and community members, to encourage involvement in the Workforce Development Program and facilitate job opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Career Coordinator to assess placement requirements and identify optimal job matches.
- Recruit local businesses to participate in employment initiatives for youth and educate them about the services and needs of AMIkids.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with both local and national businesses to ensure a continuous job placement partnership, ensuring effective communication on a monthly basis.
- Develop a steady stream of job opportunities for youth and participants through various channels such as workforce development agencies, job fairs, and community meetings, while educating them on effective job search strategies.
- Comprehend job qualifications as outlined by employers and ensure suitable matches.
- Monitor the success of job placements, track progress, and gather feedback from employers regarding the youth's performance.
- Respond promptly to all inquiries related to business development.
- Prepare and present monthly reports detailing placements, satisfaction levels, and business relationships.
- Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws concerning youth employment.
- Participate in required crisis intervention and physical restraint training, maintaining certification as per state and contractual obligations.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification through a nationally recognized organization.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in recruitment and community engagement preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
