We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our culinary team at Forefront Healthcare & Culinary Services. As a Lead Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appetizing food for our residents, adhering to established recipes and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipes.
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Ensure food is prepared at proper temperatures and complete associated checklists and logs.
- Assist with inventory management and receiving of goods from vendors.
- Work with the Executive Chef to coordinate menus or special requests.
- Adapt schedule when necessary to accommodate emergency situations.
- Follow safe food handling training and policies and procedures.
- Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of food preparation and service experience.
- ServSafe certification required.
- Knowledge of food handlers and safety regulations.
- Proven track record of integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to multitask in a pressured environment.
This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
We offer a competitive salary range of $17.00-$20.00 per hour, as well as medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, and 6 paid holidays.
