SKILLS, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
We are seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team and empower these individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, and have empathy and patience when interacting with individuals with disabilities.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate care and support to individuals in their daily activities, assist with personal hygiene tasks, implement individualized care plans, and facilitate social and recreational activities.
You will also administer medications, support individuals with mobility and transportation, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is also required.
We offer competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.78 to $18.09 per hour, paid every two weeks.
