R+L Carriers is seeking a dedicated Service Center Operations Leader to oversee, coordinate, and direct the operations at our service center. This role involves comprehensive management of all operational aspects, including customer relations and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage front-line supervisors, drivers, and freight handlers
  • Guide, train, and develop team members
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels for dock, linehaul, and city operations
  • Develop and execute action plans to achieve productivity and service objectives
  • Implement and manage safety, security, and loss prevention protocols in line with company and regulatory standards
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all personnel
  • Oversee adherence to quality freight handling practices
  • Interpret and enforce service center work instructions and company policies
  • Facilitate timely dispatch of LTL loads
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills with effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with the LTL industry, DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and hazardous materials handling is preferred
  • Understanding of quality freight handling techniques is advantageous
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of local geography and surrounding areas is beneficial
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in operations management within the LTL sector is highly desirable
