Institution Superintendent

Job Summary

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking an experienced Institution Superintendent to lead the Cambridge Developmental Center. As a key member of the department's leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall administration of the center, including supervision of department heads, maintenance of Medicaid certification and DODD licensure, and provision of high-quality professional and technical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate the total operations of the Cambridge Developmental Center, ensuring compliance with Sections 5119.48 and 5119.49 of the Ohio Revised Code.
• Supervise department heads, including Program/Residential Services, Human Resources, Medical/Nursing, Operations, and ancillary support functions.
• Maintain effective, fair, and equitable human resources practices, including development and submission of reports and information requests.
• Participate on division committees as appropriate and maintain positive public relations with providers, parent/family groups, and the community.
• Establish center goals, objectives, and internal operational policies and procedures, including short- and long-range plans for program training and administrative services.

Requirements

• Executive leadership experience, with a focus on budgeting, management, and therapy/therapeutic services.
• Strong conflict management, decision-making, and situational awareness skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a trauma-informed care environment.
