Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to support our Advanced Development Programs aircraft. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing System Safety Program Plans, performing hazard identification, evaluation, and control using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support System Safety Engineering efforts for Advanced Development Programs aircraft
  • Develop and execute System Safety Program Plans
  • Perform hazard identification, evaluation, and control using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques
  • Conduct risk assessments and trade studies to evaluate and optimize design choices
  • Establish software safety requirements in accordance with relevant standards
  • Interface and coordinate system safety activities with design teams, suppliers, internal management, and external customers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with System Safety analyses, standards, and tools
  • Leadership experience in projects and teams
  • Desirable skills include military or civilian flight experience, knowledge of MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, ARP-4761, and/or ARP-4754, and experience working with international customers and suppliers
