Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans, providing feedback to students, and managing classroom routines. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve student success and contribute to the growth and development of our schools.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement lesson plans that align with grade-level expectations and end-of-year assessments
  • Provide feedback to students through scaffolded questions and affirm correctly understood content
  • Establish effective classroom routines and manage student behavior
  • Inspire students to achieve their goals and believe in their ability to succeed
  • Prepare students to solve complex problems with no obvious answer
  • Seek out and respond to feedback from colleagues and engage in problem-solving
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of lead teaching experience, preferred
  • Demonstrated success working with students in an urban, open admissions school, preferred
  • BA or BS degree
  • Strong background in and command of mathematics content area
