We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As a key member of our cardiovascular department, you will be responsible for performing accurate analysis of cardiac anatomy and physiology, utilizing ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality images, and collaborating with physicians and other staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures to assess cardiac function and anatomy
- Interpret echocardiogram results and provide accurate diagnoses to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and provide patient care
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient procedures and results
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency
- Registered Cardiac Echo Sonographer certification (RDCS) or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in cardiac sonography, preferably in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as ultrasound principles and equipment operation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
