Cardiac Echo Sonographer Opportunity

Are you a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, utilizing your expertise in cardiac ultrasound to provide high-quality patient care. As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing accurate analyses of cardiac anatomy and physiology, interpreting studies, and sharing knowledge with other staff and physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate analysis of cardiac anatomy and physiology
  • Interpret studies and provide accurate results
  • Share knowledge with other staff and physicians to improve departmental skill and knowledge
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Assist physicians and other staff with requests for information or support
  • Operate all ultrasound systems and other non-invasive equipment with knowledge of troubleshooting
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals
  • Awareness and accountability for Lab accreditation standards
  • Contribute to the development of improvements to the department
  • Respond to staffing needs in other patient care areas as directed
Requirements
  • Allied health, CVT, or nursing background required
  • One year of experience as a cardiac sonographer in a hospital setting preferred
  • BLS certification within 90 days of employment
  • RDCS registry certification required
