Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist is a licensed professional responsible for the simulation and treatment of cancer clients by administering the prescribed radiation treatment dose.


Key Responsibilities:
Utilize MOSAIQ record and Verify System to record and audit daily treatment records, capture daily client charges, schedule client's course of treatment, import client ID photos and treatment photos into MOSAIQ, and perform portal imaging for weekly film Quality Assurance.
Prepare treatment and simulation rooms, ensure linen and supplies are stocked daily, and maintain rooms clean and orderly.
Verify client's prescription, diagnosis, field sizes, and daily dose prescribed prior to treatment and post treatment daily, observe client and equipment during procedures, and immediately report unusual occurrences to the Physician, Physicist, Manager, or Nurse and record client's condition on a daily basis.
Maintain concentration at LINAC and Simulation without distractions from staff and other hospital personnel, adhere to no personal cell phone usage at LINAC and in Simulation room, and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the client served.

Credentials:
Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
Licensed Radiation Therapist (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience (Required)
