Job Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Parkview North Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists in various areas of drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, prescriptions, and dispensing. You will also be responsible for maintaining the general pharmacy operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.


Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent GED is required. You must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided. One year of pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician-oriented formal class work is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are also required.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting pharmacists in drug procurement, preparation, storage, and inventory control
  • Supporting the distribution of medications and orders
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff
  • Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
