Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum in Kendallville, Indiana. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements:
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Indiana.
  • 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
