Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Services Consultant to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Business Services Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer requirements
  • Develop a wide range of job opportunities for candidates, leveraging your knowledge of the local labor market
  • Establish and maintain active and frequent contact with employers, fostering strong relationships and staying up-to-date on industry trends
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the local labor market, identifying emerging trends and opportunities
  • Work closely with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiatives, ensuring a seamless hiring process
  • Assist employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicants, providing expert guidance and support
  • Maintain a current listing of local job opportunities, ensuring that clients have access to the latest job openings
  • Keep project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities, facilitating collaboration and communication
  • Work with case management staff to facilitate job placements, ensuring a smooth transition for clients
  • Enlist the cooperation of community and business leaders to increase awareness of available workforce services in the community, promoting our mission and values
  • Maintain follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvement, ensuring continuous excellence
  • Arrange for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectations, facilitating open communication and understanding
  • Set up job fairs and employer hiring events, providing opportunities for clients to connect with potential employers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, or 2 years of work experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing, or recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and employers
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor market trends, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform business decisions
  • Friendly, professional demeanor, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Sales or staffing experience preferred, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and employers from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work well in teams and independently, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing and proof of current automobile insurance required
