Job Description

Glen-Gery Corporation is a leading manufacturer of building materials, operating as a subsidiary of Brickworks Limited, a large Australian-listed group of companies. As a Sales Account Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers, sales teams, plant management, and distributors to provide product information, availability, orders, samples, quotes, credit, and complaint resolution.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a good understanding of our products and inventories to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
  • Order Processing: Process orders, order changes, sample requests, and coordinate shipments using Salesforce.
  • Quote and Order Accuracy: Ensure quotes and orders are accurate, following company sales procedures.
  • Sales Growth: Achieve or exceed sales goals by growing sales and providing excellent customer service.
  • Product Presentations: Present new and existing products and design ideas to homeowners, builders, contractors, and masons.
  • Price Lists and Sales Data: Maintain price lists and provide analysis of sales data to maintain satisfactory gross profit margins for all items sold.
  • Credit and Complaint Procedures: Perform basic credit functions and product complaint procedures as needed.
  • Bidding Documents: Prepare and distribute bidding documents from quotes to technical submittals.
  • Job Registration: Assist in the job registration process, including document completion and submittal.
  • Client Concerns: Respond to client concerns and apply independent decision-making while striving for first-time resolution on all client problems/issues.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain an exceptional level of expertise on products/services relating to all product lines and customer needs, as well as staying abreast of the competitive landscape.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
  • Organizational and Math Skills: Demonstrate good organizational, math, and computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP systems, CRM).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Employ a hands-on approach to problem-solving regarding sales, service, and promotion.
  • Self-Motivation: Be self-motivated, with a high personal drive and a disciplined approach to working individually and utilizing resources to assist with accomplishing goals and objectives.
  • Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills, and a professional demeanor.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive for continuous improvement, with a focus on detail-oriented work and strong organizational skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Customer Service Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Technical Product Knowledge: Be able to learn technical product information.
  • Team Environment: Support a team environment, company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • College Degree or Relevant Trade Qualification: Possess a college degree or relevant trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3 Years Sales or Customer Service Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years of sales or customer service experience, preferably in the building materials industry.
