Pump Mechanic Job Description

Job Summary:

Power-Flo Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced Pump Mechanic to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues with pump systems and electric motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Assess machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues, including installing replacement bearings, seals, shafts, and gaskets, and replacing and wiring electric motors.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to determine their requirements and communicate defects or problems.
  • Equipment Inspection: Provide routine inspections of equipment and inform clients of any issues.
  • Log Keeping: Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond to work orders for troubleshooting, repair, and feedback to Supervisor, and make emergency repairs within area of knowledge and responsibility.
  • Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, disassembly, multimeter, etc.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of pump systems and electric motors, and at least 5 years experience in pump mechanics.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both with a team and independently.
  • Driver's License: A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

The role is Monday to Friday, with usual hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and overtime opportunities. The company offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, PTO program, paid holidays, 401K with employer match, and company-provided life insurance after 1 year of employment.
