This team also leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food-safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader to join our team. As a General Merchandise Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members, executing daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals, and creating a consistent experience for our guests. You will also be responsible for working with Closing teams to identify key priorities and ensure the store is guest-ready.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and hold others accountable for delivering exceptional guest service and achieving sales goals.
- Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals, including merchandising, pricing, transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, promotions, and price changes.
- Work with Closing teams to identify key priorities and ensure the store is guest-ready.
- Help empower the team to create a consistent experience for our guests by assessing reporting to identify gaps in GM and Fulfillment processes and developing a plan to resolve.
- Responsible for working with Closing teams to identify key priorities and ensure the store is guest-ready.
- Help create a scheduling plan approved by your ETL based on monthly and weekly business workload and guest traffic.
- Enable team members to stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team Lead team onboarding and learning and close knowledge gaps through training and experiences.
- With ETL guidance, help establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations.
- Per the direction of your ETL, help lead and coach the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all GM processes.
- Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts, and weekends.
- Assess Fulfillment business and make decisions consistent with your ETL's direction to help teams fulfill all guest orders accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same way.
- Per the direction of your ETL, help create a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working in a safe manner to benefit themselves and others.
- If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions.
- Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, digital fulfillment processes while maintaining a compliance culture, including compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
- All other duties based on business needs.
