About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Saelens Corp. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in our production process by assembling various components and products according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble products and components following detailed instructions and blueprints. Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and ensure all assembled items meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Material Handling and Maintenance: Transport and handle materials, parts, and finished products using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment as required. Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs to supervisors.
  • Documentation and Teamwork: Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to assembly and production. Maintain accurate records of completed work and collaborate with other assembly workers and departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement and Safety: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Suggest improvements to assembly processes to increase efficiency and follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing is an advantage, but not required.
  • Skills: Proficiency with hand tools and machinery, strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Attributes: Reliable, eager to learn, and able to work well independently or as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
