Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager - Footwear to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our Sourcing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support the organization's long-term strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute footwear vendor strategies to ensure capabilities and capacity to support the business' long-term strategic goals
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
  • Lead sourcing, assessment, and onboarding of new factories needed to support growth, category expansion, and flexibility in our supply chain
  • Develop vendor relationships to foster strong collaborations that support the successful execution of our long-term strategy
  • Translate long-range strategies to execute seasonal allocation plans
  • Manage the execution of multi-sourced model strategies
  • Oversee footwear product cost negotiations and procedures
  • Collaborate with key strategic stakeholders to ensure seasonal footwear requirements are aligned and met
  • Connect and drive progress on cross-functional projects providing supply chain impacts and risk mitigation to meet business goals
  • Manage processes and planning workload to ensure timelines are met to support delivery expectations
  • Report and drive vendor performance on key metrics that deliver supply chain excellence
  • Partner with internal and external partners to provide continuous improvements in our development to manufacturing process
  • Partner with global cross-functional product leaders to build best-in-class GTM footwear processes
  • Build, coach, and guide a high-performing team of Sourcing Specialists who facilitate seasonal costing deliverables and model commercialization
  • Work closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
  • Adhere to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
  • Uphold Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Merchandising
  • 8+ years' experience in footwear sourcing, design, development, production, or merchandising, ideally including 3+ years' experience in people leadership
  • Strong knowledge of footwear construction, material construction and properties, pattern making, costing, bill of materials, embroidery, and surface applications
  • Proven business acumen and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, interpreting design intent, and product innovation
  • Proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong digital dexterity, including the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and leverage data
  • Strong computer skills in PLM software and Microsoft Office

What We Offer

A competitive salary of $108,000 - $120,000 per year, plus a bonus program and benefits package.
