We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team at Fast Pace Health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our dermatology providers.
Key Responsibilities- Triage patients by checking and recording vital signs, collecting and recording pertinent clinical history, and performing lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Assist dermatology providers in patient assessments and examinations, preparing examination rooms and sterilizing equipment.
- Educate patients on proper skin care, medication application, and post-procedure care, and administer phototherapy treatments as needed.
- Perform administrative duties, including verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, and scheduling referrals.
- Manage patient records, prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments, and schedule patient appointments.
- Assist providers with conducting proper patient follow-ups, including follow-up calls and responding to messages in a timely manner.
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting, preferably in a dermatology office.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
