Job Summary

As a Travel Contract Specialist with Healthcare Staffing Plus, you will have the opportunity to work as a per diem nurse in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for registered nurses who are looking for a flexible and challenging work environment.

Responsibilities

Provide professional performance and direct patient care under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.
Use the model of care designed by the nursing department and in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice.

Requirements

At least 12 months of experience as an MED SURG TELE RN in a hospital setting.
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information.
Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families.
Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Qualifications

BLS and ACLS certification.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Passionate about patient care.
Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program.
Active unencumbered RN Georgia state license.
One year of Epic experience.

Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
