We are seeking a SALES SPECIALIST, TILE AND STONE INSTALLATION SOLUTIONS to develop strong partnerships and explore new business avenues with distributor partners, commercial tiling contractors, installation professionals, specifiers, and other influential business figures. This will be achieved through site visits, outreach calls, distributor training, engaging presentations, and embodying the ARDEX solution-oriented, 'customer-first' philosophy.

This role is field-based as part of our NEW YORK METRO sales division, with a preferred home base in LONG ISLAND. Daily travel across the territory is essential, including occasional overnight stays. The compensation potential ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, which includes a base salary, commission, and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth for ARDEX and Henry products.
  • Generate leads and secure new business opportunities.
  • Showcase products through practical demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with distributor partners, specialist contractors, general contractors, architects, and key business influencers.
  • Provide field service and support, including job initiation assistance, bid preparation, and training for distributors/installers.
  • Offer technical expertise and recommendations, collaborating with our technical team for resources and solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Work in conjunction with corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to deliver exceptional service to ARDEX clients.
  • Represent ARDEX as an industry leader with exemplary professional standards and a commitment to a 'customer-first' approach.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales.
  • At least 5 years of knowledge in building materials and tile installation products.
  • Experience in tile installation is advantageous.
  • Technical proficiency with familiarity in architectural specifications and construction design elements.
  • Strong business acumen, integrity, ethics, and sound professional judgment.
  • High energy and enthusiasm for the industry, with a solution-driven and customer-focused mindset.
  • Assertiveness and capability to drive and close sales effectively.
  • Ability to conduct product presentations and demonstrations with confidence and professionalism.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including some overnight stays.
  • Capability to operate both power and non-power tools, with good mechanical skills to meet the demands of intensive field support.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, with a carrying capacity of 55 pounds.
