Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NCCU) team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
About the UnitThe NCCU is a 14-bed unit that cares for critically ill patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. We are a primary stroke center and are preparing to expand our services to include mechanical thrombectomy.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in unit-based council and professional practice council activities.
- Develop and maintain skills in neuroscience nursing, including certification in neuroscience nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a 280-bed hospital that provides a wide range of services, including emergency care, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and acute rehab services. We are accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. Our stroke rehabilitation program has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Certification of Stroke Rehabilitation.
