Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Yuba City, California. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures, including two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise/dobutamine stress echocardiograms, and agitated saline (bubble) studies.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines and related software.
  • Interpret and report echocardiogram results, identifying and prioritizing abnormal findings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.
  • Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • 2+ years of experience in cardiac sonography, with a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) certification.
  • Experience with pediatric cardiology and fetal echocardiography.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
