  • Execute general cleaning duties such as waste disposal, dusting, furniture sanitation, window cleaning, pressure washing, and disinfection.
  • Perform various floor care tasks including mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, carpet maintenance, and overall floor upkeep.
  • Ensure restrooms are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Manage waste removal and upkeep of waste receptacles.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on custodial equipment and restock supplies as needed.
  • Support security measures by managing access to secure areas.
  • Report maintenance concerns and hazardous conditions promptly.
  • Address inquiries from user groups in a professional and timely manner.
  • Engage in training opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships within the university community.
  • Comply with university policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to effectively follow instructions and work independently.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for cleaning chemicals.
  • Experience with a variety of cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to achieve objectives.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in diverse environments.
Preferred Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in custodial work.
