Position: Women's Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Women's Health Specialist to provide comprehensive primary care services to female patients aged 16 and above at Charter Oak Health Center Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and preventive care measures in alignment with the Center's goals and objectives. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to all policies and regulations are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct age-appropriate assessments for female patients with acute, critical, and chronic conditions, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine health status and disease states, utilizing advanced medical knowledge and technology.
  • Provide medical care for women's health issues, including gynecological visits, obstetric care, and family planning, with a focus on patient-centered care and empathy.
  • Prescribe treatments, medications, and ancillary services as needed, adhering to established medical protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control measures and patient confidentiality, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs, staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices.
  • Supervise mid-level medical and nursing staff as assigned, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Manage patient inquiries and complaints effectively, responding promptly and professionally to maintain patient satisfaction and trust.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree and license to practice in Connecticut.
  • DEA and DPS registration.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in women's health care.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • CPR and ACLS certification within specified timelines.
