We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a full-time evening shift position. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Fill and label medications, surgical kits, and other supplies according to a computer-generated medication profile.
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures for injection and infusion, including hazardous medications, chemotherapy, and biologics.
- Deliver medications to nursing units and retrieve discontinued medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory of automated dispensing cabinets and rotate floor stock to reduce outdated medications.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Control and check medications outside of the department by performing unit inspections and emergency cart checks.
- Appropriately handle controlled substances, including maintaining security and reconciling transactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician License (IDFPR).
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification through PTCB or NHA required for all licensed after 2008.
