Beta Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Composite Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our composite manufacturing team, you will be responsible for fabricating, modifying, assembling, installing, and repairing composite parts and tooling for production electric aircraft and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate, modify, assemble, install, and repair composite parts and tooling for production electric aircraft and equipment.
- Manage necessary materials and supplies, and maintain the composite shop facilities.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality composite parts and tooling.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with quality control processes and standards.
- 5+ years of experience in composite manufacturing or related positions.
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Experience with multiple semi-automated drilling techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 certification, processes, and standards.
- Understanding of the effects of fundamental variables on composite materials.
- Automotive body (sanding/polishing), gel coat, and paint preparation skills.
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activities (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stairs), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery surfaces), bending, reaching, handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, picking, punching), stooping, kneeling, crouching.
Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) in a safe manner. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses, goggles, face shield), gloves, and hearing protection.
