Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Transplant Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Vidant Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transplant process for living donors and recipients, providing direct patient care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the evaluation and transplant process for living donors and recipients
- Provide direct patient care to post-transplant patients in the clinic and coordinate post-operative care
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for patients and their caregivers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with a minimum of two years of medical/surgical experience required
Current valid NC Nursing License required
More than 2 years of previous experience in a healthcare setting necessary
Work experience with ESRD or transplant patients preferred
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
