Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive training to effectively support students in their learning journey.
  • Provide individualized instruction (one-on-one or in small groups) to teach new skills across various settings.
  • Encourage participation in recreational and physical education activities.
  • Assist students during community-based outings.
  • Collect and analyze data to track student progress.
  • Collaborate with a team to help students achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Support students with daily living activities, including hygiene and toileting assistance.
  • Assist individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree is preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities is beneficial, but a genuine desire to make a positive difference is paramount.
