Position Overview We are looking for a proficient and experienced Construction Cost Analyst to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This is a permanent role responsible for evaluating costs and preparing estimates for various construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects are financially sound and competitive. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a robust understanding of construction methodologies, and excel in budgeting and cost analysis. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects.
  2. Conduct thorough material take-offs and estimate costs of materials, labor, and equipment needed to fulfill contract provisions.
  3. Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  4. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors on adjustments to cost estimates.
  5. Present and clarify project budgets to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  6. Review design options and recommend optimal solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or material availability.
  7. Establish and oversee the tendering process, conducting negotiations as necessary.
  8. Monitor project progress, verify detailed cost estimates, and identify variances.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in construction estimation.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar capacity.
  2. Proficient in analyzing blueprints and technical documents.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  4. Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  5. Advanced skills in budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management.
  6. Proficient in relevant software including CAD, MS Office, and estimation tools.
  7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  8. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
