POSITION SUMMARY:
The Trauma General Surgery Unit is a 32-bed facility dedicated to the care of patients undergoing a wide range of acute surgical interventions and trauma cases. Registered Nurses in this department will provide care for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and seniors with varying levels of acuity. This role is situated in a dynamic environment characterized by strong leadership and ample opportunities for professional development and advanced training. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, committed to continuous learning, and a collaborative team member.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Self-scheduling for Part Time Night shifts, requiring three 12-hour shifts biweekly from 7 PM to 7 AM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver professional nursing care in collaboration with healthcare team members, focusing on the ongoing assessment, planning, and treatment of patients and their families.
- Utilize resources efficiently while promoting the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of patients.
- Beyond hands-on nursing care, engage in various roles including delegation, assessment, care planning, and patient education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid RN license is mandatory.
- Multistate license holders must establish residency with the relevant nursing board within the specified timeframe.
- At the time of hire, Basic Life Support certification from an accredited organization is required (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS).
