Civil Engineering Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Civil Intern. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for assisting in the creation of detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize computer software to create detailed drawings and design layouts, including construction plans and specifications.
  • Perform various tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs, including basic calculations.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • English language skills: ability to read and interpret documents, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information.
  • Mathematical skills: ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
  • Reasoning skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, and word processing.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency preferred.
  • Organizational skills: ability to prioritize and organize tasks, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment:
  • Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Occasional outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions.
Work Schedule:
  • Fixed schedule of 40 hours per week between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
