Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Processing Clerk to join our team at Livanta LLC. As a Document Processing Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our document processing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Quality Control: Examine and provide quality control (QC) of imaged documents received and screen images using review criteria.
  • Document Processing: Perform quality control functions on imaged documents, ensuring that documents entered and uploaded into the imaging system contain the proper patient-identifying bar-coded cover sheet or case number.
  • Mailroom Operations: Assist with opening and sorting incoming mail for distribution, dispatching outgoing mail, and logging receipt of all mail in tracking systems.
  • Document Scanning and Disposition: Assist with scanning and disposition of all documents received on paper, CD, fax, or by electronic means.
  • Postage and Reimbursement: Assist with logging postage amount from providers' envelopes for provider reimbursement.
  • Document Storage and Retention: Assist with the documentation, storage, retention, and destruction of paper documents received from providers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement process to identify quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Protect the confidentiality of patient information through compliance with HIPAA and HITECH.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Skills: Must be able to read English, communicate, and speak clearly and courteously. Must be able to lift thirty pounds. Must have excellent computer usage skills, using both a keyboard and mouse. Must be attentive to detail and scrutinize documents for accuracy and legibility.
  • Organizational Fit: Commitment to and ability to demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in interactions with internal staff is required.
