A Plant Maintenance Lead position is available with a manufacturing organization. In this capacity, you will serve as a key leader on the production floor, overseeing the complete functionality of the facility. Your role will involve developing and mentoring technical staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make independent decisions to ensure efficient plant operations.
  • Utilize company-provided tools and resources effectively.
  • Assign maintenance tasks aligned with maintenance objectives and preventive maintenance compliance.
  • Supervise, guide, and assist with projects, equipment calls, and repairs as needed.
  • Source, assist, or procure parts necessary for job completion.
  • Review work orders to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Validate work order information, track work order aging, and manage work backlog.
  • Collaborate with planners to schedule routine maintenance, equipment upgrades, and departmental projects.
  • Provide necessary documentation, such as prints and drawings, to facilitate job execution.
  • Work alongside the Reliability Manager to enhance preventive maintenance schedules and equipment reliability.
  • Recommend equipment/component replacements based on data analysis from the maintenance management system.
  • Oversee team members to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Manage effective recovery from equipment failures through resource management and communication with production and maintenance teams.
  • Deliver constructive feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members to enhance performance.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and avoidance.
  • Prepare daily shift reports.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by maintenance management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of operations and maintenance leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance, project management, and bakery equipment operations.
  • Ability to provide hands-on leadership and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Three years of experience in a maintenance leadership role is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
