Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychometrist to join our team at Jefferson County Schools. As a Psychometrist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and psychological needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and score standardized tests to assess student abilities and aptitudes.
  • Develop and implement individualized testing plans to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure accurate and effective testing procedures.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform instructional decisions and support student growth.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student test results and progress.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Alabama teaching certificate; certification as a school psychometrist, psychologist, or related field.
  • Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to provide appropriate transportation to perform job responsibilities at various school sites or other settings as required.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a productive team member.
  • Ability to use technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information.
  • Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities.
  • Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
