Position Overview
Aurora Flight Sciences is looking for a dedicated and skilled Surface Preparation Specialist to play a vital role in our cutting-edge aircraft design and manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing components for painting processes
- Sanding, masking, and readying products for paint application
- Employing accurate measuring instruments
- Setting up and executing paint application techniques
- Accurately interpreting technical drawings and work orders
- Complying with regulations regarding paint usage
- Contributing to the FOD Prevention Program
- Assisting with assembly tasks as required
- Ensuring a safe and productive work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Competence in computer operations
- Must qualify as a US Person
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
- Capability to read and understand engineering drawings
Physical Requirements
- Availability to work second shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate personal protective equipment
- Capacity to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Onsite work is required
Salary Range (Annualized USD)
- Minimum Range: $36,000.00 to $64,000.00
- Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $75,000.00
