Position Overview

Aurora Flight Sciences is looking for a dedicated and skilled Surface Preparation Specialist to play a vital role in our cutting-edge aircraft design and manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing components for painting processes
  • Sanding, masking, and readying products for paint application
  • Employing accurate measuring instruments
  • Setting up and executing paint application techniques
  • Accurately interpreting technical drawings and work orders
  • Complying with regulations regarding paint usage
  • Contributing to the FOD Prevention Program
  • Assisting with assembly tasks as required
  • Ensuring a safe and productive work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Competence in computer operations
  • Must qualify as a US Person
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
  • Capability to read and understand engineering drawings

Physical Requirements

  • Availability to work second shift
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Capacity to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds
  • Onsite work is required

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $36,000.00 to $64,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $75,000.00
