Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Summary

This entry-level position involves providing direct services and multiple functions of the Clinical Department at Behavior Genius. As an RBT, you will work collaboratively with other professionals to help individuals with Autism and related developmental disabilities acquire new skills and reduce problematic behaviors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
  • Delivering direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
  • Teaching communication, social, and self-care skills to children ages 2-18 years.
  • Collecting, recording, and summarizing data on observable client behavior.
  • Implementing behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors.
  • Effectively communicating with parents and caregivers regarding client progress, as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Utilizing safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid Registered Behavior Technician Certification.
  • The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate professionally with consumers and peers/staff.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and training.
