IT Audit Consultant Job Description

At Forvis Mazars, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Audit Consultant to join our team. As an IT Audit Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our clients identify and manage business risk, improve IT processes and controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform IT general control audit procedures, including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, and cybersecurity.
  • Work with client personnel to gain an understanding of IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results.
  • Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside FORVIS partners and managers.
  • Provide a variety of non-assurance services to our clients, including internal audit consulting, IT risk assessments, IT compliance reviews, cybersecurity assessments, technology consulting, threat and vulnerability testing, social engineering, business continuity planning, and more.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to client locations up to 20%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or internships in a public accounting firm performing IT audit or IT consulting work.
  • Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or have CPA certification.
  • Eligibility to sit for the CISA exam or have CISA certification.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).
