Medical Office LPN Gastroenterology Department Position in Norwalk, CT

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Gastroenterology department in Norwalk, CT. As a Medical Office LPN, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and APRNs with patient exams, preparing materials and supplies as needed.
- Obtain patient history and basic medical data, including vital signs and medications.
- Provide direct patient care, including injections and specimen collection.
- Instruct patients and families on preventive care and medication management.
- Communicate with patients via phone to provide test results and relay physician instructions.
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills/data entry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
Working Conditions:
This is a sedentary/light effort position, requiring up to 10 pounds of force. The working environment is generally pleasant, with little to no potential for occupational risk.
