Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at UF Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Obtain and document vital signs and weight accurately, and report abnormal results to the nurse.
- Provide assistance with personal care, including dietary needs and ensuring the security of patients' personal items.
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transferring of patients, and update the hospital tracking system accordingly.
- Assist the nurse and/or physician with implementing treatment interventions, such as sterile and non-sterile soaks and/or dressings.
- Provide for patient safety through preventative measures, including bed controls and nurse/patient communication systems.
- Obtain supplies and equipment as needed for patients and restock supplies when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands-on patient care experience or 2nd semester RN student.
- CNA, EMT, or CMA license required within 1 year of hire.
- CNA, EMT, or CMA license.
