Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist professional nurses in performing specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age-specific groups.
- Provide and record patients' personal hygiene, comfort care, toileting, ambulation, nutrition, and hydration needs per unit/hospital standard.
- Obtain and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, and pulse oximetry) per unit standard, reporting abnormal findings to the licensed nurse.
- Transport patients as directed by licensed nursing personnel using appropriate transfer equipment.
- Keep patient rooms and isolation cubicles stocked with standard personal protection equipment per unit standard.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 6 months hospital or nursing home experience in a patient care setting preferred.
- Must maintain a current Basic Life Support Card.
