Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Data Integrity Specialist III to join our team at Healthier Mississippi People (HMP). As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits through various systems and resources
  • Obtain prior authorization and calculate co-pays and other out-of-pocket amounts due from patients
  • Register and schedule patients, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
  • Maintain the Master Patient Index and ensure data requirements for patient demographics, insurance coverage, and financial clearance are met
  • Collaborate with management and co-workers to ensure a positive working environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; seven or more years of relevant experience in admissions, patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, pre-registration, collections, prior authorizations, and/or call center
  • Proven track record of accomplishing high-quality work in a professional manner
  • Certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) through National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) is preferred
Working Environment

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments, including high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. The position also involves occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment and occasional working hours beyond regularly scheduled hours.
