Job Summary

Methodist Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU). As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to infants and children with congenital heart defects. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to infants and children with congenital heart defects
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric cardiac care

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
  • Registered Nurse license in Texas or Compact State
  • Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in pediatric cardiac ICU or critical care
